The full name of MP resin is vinyl chloride-vinyl isobutyl ether resin, which is a polymer copolymerized by 75% vinyl chloride (VC) and 25% vinyl isobutyl ether (IBVE).

In the production of ink, iSuoChem CMP 45 and 60 resin (corresponding to Laroflex MP 45, Laroflex MP 60) has become a key material due to its unique properties. It is usually used in combination with CPP (iSuoChem Chlorinated Polypropylene), CEVA (iSuoChem Chlorinated EVA) and other resins, with an addition amount of 3%-10%, and is mainly used in benzene-soluble and ester-soluble inks.

Corrosion resistance: The stable chlorine atoms in the molecular chain give it water resistance, salt resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance. MP resin is a corrosion resistant resin.

Compatibility: It is easy to mix with binders such as chlorinated polypropylene and alkyd resin to improve the performance of ink.

Solubility: It is soluble in common solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, and ketones.

Wettability: It has strong dispersibility for organic pigments, high color saturation, and excellent transferability.

Adhesion: The ether bond structure allows it to adhere firmly to the surface of plastics such as BOPP and PET.

In addition, BASF has also launched an optimized grade VC-40 (iSuoChem has the equivalent code for BASF VC-40), which is specifically for ink users who do not require corrosion protection, further broadening the application scenarios.
