What is MP Resin(Equivalent to Laroflex MP grades)?

2023-09-19

MP is a type of fine white powdered chlorinated binders, resistant to hydrolysis, for the manufacture of physically drying coatings on iron and steel, nonferrous metals, mineral substrates as well as for printing inks and road marking paints.

Its full name is Copolymer of Vinyl chloride and Vinyl Isobutyl Ether with CAS NO. 25154-85-2.

iSuoChem® CMP resins are mainly equivalent to BASF Laroflex MP grades.

The iSuoChem® CMP resin series is characterized primarily by differences in viscosity and solution behavior. Viscosity values, as provided in the table, are associated with 20% solutions in toluene at a temperature of 23°C (73°F). It's important to note that the choice of solvent can significantly influence viscosity, leading to varying degrees of thickness in the solutions.
Among the iSuoChem® CMP grades, iSuoChem® CMP 15 and iSuoChem® CMP 25 stand out as low-viscosity options. These grades exhibit several advantages:Effortless blending, Stable viscosity, High-gloss coatings.
On the contrary, iSuoChem® CMP 60 has higher viscosity. It has a propensity to undergo gelation, especially when employed in non-polar solvents.

iSuoChem® CMP 45 resin has a Medium viscosity compared to other iSuoChem CMP grades. This makes it a flexible choice for a wide range of uses. That's why importers and manufacturers often prefer CMP 45 resin over other options.
